A One‑Day Festival And Tamale Competition Showcasing Resilient Female Entrepreneurs

Austin, TX — JUST Fest is back—and more powerful than ever. Produced and presented by JUST, a nonprofit micro-loan organization in Austin, Texas, the festival is returning for its second year this fall to celebrate strong, resilient female entrepreneurs.
Open from 11 AM to 6 PM on November 3, 2019 at Springdale Station, JUST Fest’s 2019 lineup will feature a market of 25+ women-owned small businesses, a public tamale competition, panels and workshops exploring entrepreneurship, family-friendly activities and live music and food from across Latin America. This year’s festival is supported by Dell, H-E-B, Deloitte, GoDaddy, Tito’s Vodka, Richard’s Rainwater, Juiceland and more.
JUST Fest 2019 will also serve as an opportunity for the public at large to learn more about the nonprofit’s impact. Centering the festival’s theme, Somos Poderosas, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from JUST’s entrepreneurs about their journeys, inspirations and business ideas at the festival’s dynamic talks and workshops. Beyond these all-day events, attendees will also have the chance to sample tamales from female tamale makers across Austin, Texas and become judges in the festival’s epic tamale tasting competition.
Whether you stop by to shop the makers and artisans featured in the expo or become a judge in the tamale competition, every activity within JUST Fest will be a testament to the resilient power of community, small businesses and women in entrepreneurship.

ABOUT JUST: JUST provides capital, coaching and community to hundreds of low-income, female entrepreneurs per year. Since our launch in 2016, we have never checked a credit score or required collateral, and our repayment rate is 99.3%. We have made over 2,000 loans, totaling more than $3M, to over 600 hard-working female entrepreneurs in Central Texas.
